Open interest (OI) is the total dollar value of all outstanding perpetual futures contracts on a given coin. Rising OI signals new money entering; falling OI means positions are closing. The Markets Hub shows live OI for every Hyperliquid perpetual alongside funding rates, price, and 24h volume. Each coin's detail page shows OI trends over time.

When a trader's margin falls below the maintenance threshold, usually due to an adverse price move, Hyperliquid's engine automatically closes the position. This can cascade if many wallets share the same liquidation price level. LabelYX shows each wallet's liquidation price and distance-to-liquidation for all open perp positions on the dashboard and risk console.

Hyperliquid Vaults are permissioned liquidity pools where traders can deposit funds to back a vault operator's strategy and earn a share of profits minus a performance fee.
